Frequently Asked Questions

A wood-burning fireplace accumulates a substance called creosote over time that must be mechanically removed. Creosote is highly flammable, which means a build-up of it is an extreme fire hazard. Gas fireplaces should be checked annually to make sure gas leaks are not taking place and that all components are working properly. Servicing your fireplace ensures that you and your family are safe, plus it provides the most attractive fireplace experience.

We are fully insured, including Workers’ Compensation, for any project and are happy to send a Certificate of Insurance upon request. Texas does not require chimney sweeps to be licensed. However, as part of our commitment to excellence, our technicians are certified by the CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) and NFI (National Fireplace Institute).
First, a new technician on our team must apprentice under a certified technician. Then he/she must spend numerous hours studying all forms of fireplace maintenance, repair, and installation by using material obtained from the CSIA or NFI. Finally, the technician must pass a comprehensive certification test administered by the entity. To maintain their certification, the technician must complete continuing education units (CEUs) annually.
Our commitment to excellence while building long-lasting relationships with our customers is what sets us apart from other chimney companies. Although licensing is not required for chimney sweeps in Texas, we feel it is of the utmost importance to have the best trained and most knowledgeable technicians possible. That’s why our technicians are certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) and the National Fireplace Institute (NFI). We make certain that your property is properly maintained and as safe as possible because your safety is our top priority.
